Working across all nine Bay Area counties
The short answer
Venues pay us
When a venue takes a booking we brought them, they pay us a fee. You are not the customer being charged — which is why there is nothing to sign and no invoice from us.
What that means for you
No budget line
You never have to find money for planning, or explain a planning fee to a board. You pay the venue and the caterer, exactly as you would have anyway.
The catch, honestly
We are new here
We are early, and we are building our reputation across the Bay Area. Nonprofit events are how we would like to do that. If we cannot help, we will tell you rather than waste your time.
Call us
Pacific time. If we do not pick up, leave a message and we will call back the same day.
Email us
Or simply reply to the email that brought you here — it reaches the same place.
Or just start
Cost it first
You do not have to talk to anyone to get a number. Describe the event above and see the range before you decide.

Why we exist
Companies want distinctive local options. Finding them is the problem.
They are already in the system, already approved, already invoiced. That is the only reason they win most corporate orders — not because they are better.
Discovery, comparison, a dozen phone calls, one purchase order per vendor. The distinctive option loses on coordination, not on quality.
Women-owned, minority-owned and family-run businesses are the hardest of all to reach through conventional procurement. Not absent — just not indexed anywhere a buyer looks.
Viva is the layer in between: you make one request, we carry the discovery and the coordination, and you get one answer back.
We are early and honest about it. The network is being built a phone call at a time, and we are looking for companies who want their spend to reach distinctive local businesses — and who will tell us when we get it wrong. If that is the kind of buying you want to do, we would like to hear from you.
Yes. Viva Events offers complimentary planning to Bay Area nonprofits — fundraisers, community gatherings, volunteer days and annual meetings. There is no planning fee and no invoice from Viva; venues pay us when they take a booking we brought them.
A seated fundraising dinner runs about $95–165 a head for food and drink, plus roughly $32–68 a head if you want a bar, $350–900 for a microphone and basic A/V, an 18–24% service charge and local sales tax. For 80 guests that is broadly $13,000–25,000 all in.
Coffee and pastries run about $12–22 a head; a proper breakfast $22–42; lunch $32–65. For 45 volunteers, coffee and pastries come to roughly $700–1,300 including service and tax.
There is no fee to your organisation and nothing to sign. Viva is paid by venues when they take a booking we brought them. We are also early and building a reputation across the Bay Area, and nonprofit events are how we would like to do that. If we cannot help with your event, we will say so rather than waste your time.
